A District that presents a clean environment creates a positive perception of safety, so it begins with effective cleaning but doesn’t stop there. Streetplus will turn the perception into reality, making your District safe by deploying well-trained, professional and caring ambassadors.

Patrol Services

One of the most important aspects of a successful safety ambassador program is directly related to “availability and visibility” of the ambassadors conduction patrol services. Streetplus Safety Ambassadors provide patrol services by walking, riding a police mountain bicycle, using a Segway Personal Transporter, and vehicles. Safety Ambassadors are assigned to a “Zone” within the District and are responsible for patrolling the Zone serving as a deterrent to illegal and unwanted activity.

Electronic Patrol Monitoring

Streetplus uses an electronic monitoring and tracking system structured to ensure all block faces within the District receive patrol services. Reports are available to measure services and to track coverage.

Quality of Life Interactions

One of the most important tasks performed by Streetplus Safety Ambassadors is to interact with individuals committing “quality of life” infractions, such as public intoxication, panhandling, public urination, noise infractions, and other non-emergency situations that adversely affect the public domain.

Business and Merchant Contacts

Streetplus Safety Ambassadors make regular and consistent contact with businesses and merchants in the District to share information, such as crime prevention, safety tips, upcoming events in the District, but more importantly they listen to concerns and offer suggestions.

Personal Safety Escorts

Employees in the District can arrange for Personal Safety Escorts. The Safety Ambassador will meet the employee at their place of business and escort them to their vehicle or transportation location. Just another “personal touch” that Streetplus provides.

Reporting and Documentation

Streetplus Safety Ambassadors keep statistical data, documenting completed tasks by using “Statview.” It is important to report outcomes to stakeholders and Board of Directors and our Safety Ambassadors understand the importance of documenting everything they do. For more information about “Statview”.

Strategic Partnership

Streetplus Safety Ambassadors are respected by others that we work closely with, to include law enforcement, social service agencies, and city departments. In many locations, our Safety Ambassadors have direct communication to 911 Dispatch and we patrol with local law enforcement.

Hospitality Services

Streetplus Cleaning Ambassadors are friendly with engaging and outgoing personalities who are trained to represent your District in a positive way. They are a reassuring presence, giving directions and sharing information about attractions, events, and other activities occurring in your District.

Placemaking

Placemaking is a multi-faceted approach to the planning, design and management of public spaces. Placemaking capitalizes on a local community’s assets, inspiration, and potential, with the intention of creating public spaces that promote people’s health, happiness, and well-being.

Streetplus ambassadors support these efforts by placing tablets, chairs and other street furniture in these spaces for the public to enjoy. Our ambassadors also maintain the space by keeping the space litter-free, clean, and friendly. These spaces are an important program element and assigning ambassadors to manage and maintain the space is a great use of resources.
